Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1

Wash & Prepare the Surface

Wash your car using a standard car shampoo.

❗ Do not use any shampoo with wax or ceramic additives — these will prevent the coating from bonding properly.

If your paint has:

  • Rough contamination → use a clay bar
  • Swirls or scratches → consider a cut and polish
Step 2

Prepare Your IPA Solution

Wash your car using a standard car shampoo.

Mix:

  • 1 part Isopropyl Alcohol
  • 2 parts water

Pour into a spray bottle.

This step removes any leftover oils or residues and ensures the coating bonds directly to the paint.

Step 3

Final Surface Clean

  • Spray the IPA solution onto the paint
  • Wipe with a clean microfibre cloth
  • Allow the surface to dry

💡The paint may look slightly dull — this is normal. You’re removing old wax and residue.

Step 4

Prepare the Coating

  • Attach the pourer to the bottle
  • Shake well
  • Apply a generous amount onto the applicator block

👉 The pad should be well saturated — don’t apply dry.

Step 5

Apply the Coating

Work in small sections (e.g. half a door or quarter panel).

  • Apply in a criss-cross pattern (horizontal + vertical)
  • Ensure full, even coverage
  • Add more product regularly — don’t let the pad dry out
Step 6

Wait for the Flash

After application, wait until the coating “flashes”.

You’ll see:

  • rainbow / oily sheen
  • Slight visual haze

This means it’s ready to remove.

Step 7

Buff Off

  • Use a clean microfibre towel
  • Lightly buff off the residue
  • Turn the towel regularly for a clean finish

👉 You’re aiming for a clear, high-gloss finish with no streaks

Aftercare

  • Keep the car dry for 24 hours
  • Avoid washing for 5–7 days
  • For maintenance, use a pH-neutral shampoo (like Hermosa Ceramic Shampoo)

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Applying in direct sunlight
  • Using wax-based shampoos before coating
  • Letting the applicator pad dry out
  • Leaving coating on too long before buffing
  • Using dirty microfibre towels

💡 Pro Tip

Less pressure, more control.

Let the coating do the work. You’re applying it, not forcing it into the paint.
