Hermosa Graphene Ceramic Coating

What you’re working towards

A level, high-gloss protective layer on correctly prepared paint. Preparation and controlled removal determine the finish.

What you need

• Hermosa Graphene Ceramic Coating kit
• Clean microfibre towels
• Panel-preparation solution suitable for automotive paint
• Optional clay and paint-correction products where the finish requires them

Before application

• Work indoors or in a clean, shaded, wind-free area.
• The paint must be cool, completely clean and dry.
• Do not use a wax- or ceramic-enhanced shampoo immediately before coating.
• Correct contamination, swirls or scratches before coating; the coating will preserve rather than hide them.

How to apply

1. Wash and inspect. Remove loose dirt, bonded contamination and visible defects.
2. Prepare the paint. Use the label-approved panel-preparation process to remove residual oils. Allow the panel to dry.
3. Prime the applicator. Shake the bottle and wet the applicator evenly. Do not work with a dry pad.
4. Apply a small section. Use overlapping horizontal and vertical passes for complete, thin coverage.
5. Watch for the flash. The coating will show a light rainbow or oily haze. Conditions affect timing; observe the surface rather than relying on a fixed number.
6. Level immediately. Use a clean towel with light pressure, then inspect from more than one angle for high spots or streaks.
7. Repeat methodically. Change towels before they become loaded and keep the applicator adequately supplied.

When to pause

Do not continue if the coating is dragging, drying before it can be levelled, or leaving persistent high spots. Recheck temperature, section size, towels and product quantity before proceeding.

Aftercare

• Keep the vehicle dry for 24 hours.
• Avoid washing for 5–7 days.
• Maintain with a compatible pH-neutral shampoo.

Common mistakes

• Coating over contamination or polishing oils
• Working in direct sun, wind or on warm paint
• Applying sections that are too large
• Allowing the applicator or removal towel to become dry or loaded
• Missing high spots during final inspection

Check the surface before you start

Identify the material and the problem you want to treat. Previous coatings, repairs, damage, temperature and application technique can all affect the result. Test a hidden area if you are unsure how the surface will respond.

Work on a cool surface, out of direct sun, in sections small enough to control. If a first pass does not give the result you expected, check the surface and your method before adding more product, increasing the concentration, rubbing harder or leaving it on longer.

Before you put the tools away

• Inspect the whole treated area in good light, from more than one angle. Check for an even finish and remove residue, overspray and excess product.
• Check visibility and grip wherever the treated surface could affect driving. Resolve any issue before using the car.
• Keep tools for wheels, paint, glass and interiors separate. Clean them after use and discard contaminated consumables.
• Follow the drying, curing and washing restrictions on the label and in the steps above.
• For an unusual material, note what you used and how it responded. It will help next time.
