If you are comparing a professional quote with coating your car at home, start with the paint. The coating is only part of the job. Cleaning, decontamination and any paint correction often account for much of the time and cost.

What a professional quote includes

As a guide, professional ceramic coating in New Zealand can cost roughly NZ$800 to NZ$3,000 or more. Vehicle size, paint condition, correction work, the coating package and the surfaces included all affect the price. Treat that range as a starting point and ask for a quote for your car.
